September 24 Change in my careerIt's been three months since I updated last time. My life has totally changed since then. I quitted the IT company ande now looking for a job in Tourism Industry as I wanted frrom the time I was in Canada. If I think about the career after I go back to Canada, this should be the better solution.
The season start to change in Japan and start to get cool. It's been almost a year since I lefet Vancouver. I remeber how beautiful it was in Vancouver in this season. After I find a new job, I should start to think about immigration process ASAP.... while I have little saving left.... June 18 Let's Belly~!!!!I went to watch Belly dance show today. It was just fascinating!!!!!!!!!!!! It was like as if I were in Arabian Night!!! How brilliant it was is just too hard to explain by words. but one thing I realized is that if you keep practing something, you will be good at it. So, I decided, I will keep practing Belly Dance and one day, I will stand on a stage and dance like them!!!!!! I'm so motivated now.
Weekend is over again, and it's time to go back to reality........ May 28 In a confuse........ I spent this week as if I were in an eye of typhoon. My trainer at company who I respect very much decided to quit the company. All of a sudden, I lost the controller and I spent whole week in a very much of confusion.
At the company, I really started to "work" finally. No more training.... Well, I AM still on the training, caz I still need to learn a lot of things, and I'm not good at dealing with customers yet, but the situation is getting more real. I feel very sorry that I can't learn from the trainer who's quiting.... Anyway, I hope that the company is going to assign me a new trainer soon... I feel down a little bit because of the guy quiting........ It will cause big differnce if I'm under the boss I can repect or not. So I hope that new trainer will be someone I can respect, not like the first one...... i don't believe I will have third trainer.. Is this normal story at any company? Or am I just unlucky???? May 11 New Season? So, the training at company has finished. It was quite enjoyable. I felt like I was back at school. there's a teacher, and classmates, and study, assignments, presentation.... I didn't realize I liked studying this much. Finally, I start to learn how to get used to the situation I'm in and decided to enjoy it.
To enjoy my life in Japan, I started Belly Dance. I've wanted to learn Belly Dance wince when I was in Vancouver but never had a chance. Now that I'm working and I have a lot of free time, I decidced to focus my energy on Belly Dance ( and of course to work, too. Bujt that's different story) I feel so excited whenever I feel my improvement!!! My body didn't move for the first time at all, but now my body started to be a little bit more flexible and I can move my body!!!!
My goal for now is to wear a fancy and sexy Belly Dance costume and dance in a year!!!!!! By then hopefully, I can be a good dancer April 05 April...Finally, April 1st had come... I'm not talking about April fool. In Japan, new graduate employees start to work in a company from April 1st. That is the same to where I work. They hire 15 new employees to start to work from April 1st. I've been waiting for this date to come!!!!!!!!!! Finally I can get a proper training, and most of all, I get 同期!!!!! I don't know how to express this word in English, but at least that means I get sombody I can talk with freely without thinking how long they've been belonging to the company. If I like, I can even complain about the company or my boss or whatever so!!!!!What makes me happy is that the new employees are not only new graduate from Japanese Universities. There are two co-workers who used to study in Canada and ther's one Chinese!!!!!! I'm very glad about this fact since I was very tired of trying to getting used to Japanese culture and nobody had understood it. All the new employees are ver unique (or weird) and that amuse me a lot!!!!!! I love to be with unique people, they are always fun. At least for rest of a month, I can get training with them and I can have some fun there. I can forget about a nightmare for a while...... I'm a little relieved......
I've heard that now they are extending Skytrain in Vancouver and there will be one in even in UBC area... Is that right? Does anyone know what's going on there? I miss Vancouver. I can't stop thinking about going back there....... I hope they are not going to demalish the Latin night club on the Broadway: Melsona..... March 29 SpringCherry Blossun started to bloom in Japan. Unlike the one in Canada, Cherry Blossum in Japan has very short life. It will be in bloom untill this weekend probably and that's it. But it's very beautiful. The picture I uploaded is the view from the window in my room.
By next week, a lot of new emloyees will come to where I work. I will get training with them. I'm very looking forward this time, caz I'm not gonna be the only new employee who knows nothing!!!!!! I was growing tired of it March 16 Little China in JapanI went to China Town last weekend. It was preety fun!! China town in Japan is so much different from the one in Vancouver. There are a lot more fancy restaurants and soime souveniour shops. Since it located in Yokohama, there are some nice areas selling fancy furnitures and other stuffs, too. there's even a place that is called " Foreigners' graves" I guess they burried those foreigners who lost their life in Second World War. China Town is very much like China. A lot of people are there so it's very crowded, and every step I walk, there are a people who's ofeering me free chestnuts. If you walk around the Chinatown for one fullday, you'll be able to fill up your stomach for free with chestnuts. There were many kinds of restaurants there. From the very cheap one to very fancy one. In the fancy one, you can eat Full corse Menu with Shark Fin for 6000 yen, so almost $60. It's a little bit expensive, but think about Shark fin, I guess it's quite reasonable.
I also went to Roppongi Last weekend. Not for a night club, but for an Irish Pub. There were a lot of foreigners there, and I had quite good time. I really felt as if I was back in Vancouver!! I guess I should go there to have a drink once in a while to feel deiffernt automosphere.
I found a little Korean Town as well in Tokyo, last weekend. In the towm there are a lot of Korean restaurants, and most of the employees working there are Koreans. It was quite interesting view.
I guess Tokyo is multicultural city, though not as much as Vancouver is. I should try to find more of this kind of places. Because the only happy thing happend to my life these days is that the trainer I've hated has repalced with another guy. The new trainer is very much of gentleman unlike the previous one. At least I feel a little bit relieved. I will try harder to do my best and gain some workexperience and money to go back to Vancouver!!
